DENVER-CallMe Corp, an Internet telephony and marketing firm, now
enables travel-related industry professionals to provide Instant
CallBack Service to their prospective web customers-a technology that
has been proven to salvage lost sales revenue from web site visitors
who might otherwise leave due to e-commerce difficulties or the lack of
a live-person connection.
A 2002 Jupiter Research Report states: "The Venetian
(Hotel in Las Vegas) quickly implemented the ASP-based solution … and
the solution generates around 2,500 customer inquiries per month …
These Internet-initiated calls currently generate about $275,000 in
monthly revenue and executives expect they will produce revenues in
excess of $2.5 million annually."
CallMe Corp's Instant CallBack buttons can be added to
web sites or e-mail to give web site visitors an easy, instant
connection-via telephone-with a representative from the web site's
owner. The buttons require no additional hardware or software,
initiating the call to the online shopper's phone. The shopper's phone
is then seamlessly connected to an agent at the web site via a second
call. Upon connecting the interested party with the business, CallMe's
patent-pending technology automatically directs the visitor's browser
to the web page applicable to the phone call.
"The travel industry routinely suffers dramatic
web-abandonment and the resulting lost revenue," says Mark Callahan,
CallMe Corp's Director of Marketing. "It is estimated that 60 percent
of consumer-traveler web-site visitors abandon without completing a
transaction because they cannot get immediate, real-time connection
with a human being. Hotels, travel agents, car rentals
-any travel-related business using the Internet as a
sales tool will realize an immediate decrease in web-site abandonment
rates with CallMe's Instant Callback Technology."
The 2002 Jupiter Research report also notes that, "since
more consumers have been satisfied with customer service
representative-staffed phone interactions than with other touch points,
service interactions over the phone will continue to provide the
greatest opportunity to satisfy and retain them." Instant CallBack
Service captures those customers who would otherwise abandon the site
because customers can simply click an on-screen icon to receive a free
and immediate telephone call from a live representative of the web
site's business. Would-be discouraged buyers no longer feel
disconnected and frustrated with one-dimensional, stagnant web copy and
pre-programmed responses.
